Randstad is seeking a reliable and safety-focused HR Truck Driver with Hi-Ab Crane experience to join our partnered client in Hobart. In this role, you will handle multi-drop deliveries of roofing and shed materials directly to commercial and residential building sites. You will be responsible for operating the truck-mounted Hi-Ab crane to safely unload orders for builders and site managers. If you don't have the hi-ab experience required, please still apply so we can chat about our internal training program.

This position operates Monday to Friday. While we aim for a standard 38-hour work week, shift lengths vary depending on site access and load schedules, so flexibility for longer days is required. All overtime is fully compensated.

Key Responsibilities

- multi-drop deliveries of roofing, cladding, and shed materials across residential and commercial sites.

- Safely operate the Hi-Ab crane to offload heavy materials in accordance with site safety protocols.

- Conduct pre-start vehicle inspections and ensure proper load restraint at all times.

- Coordinate with site supervisors and builders to ensure accurate, timely, and safe drops.

- Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and logbooks.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Licence: Current Heavy Rigid (HR)



Driver Licence (unrestricted preferred).

- High Risk Licence: Vehicle Loading Crane (CV) High Risk Work Licence / Hi-Ab experience "advantage"

- Experience: Proven history with multi-drop deliveries and navigating tight building sites.

- Safety & Medical: Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screening.

- Background Check: Satisfactory reference checks from previous employers.

- Flexibility: Willingness to work variable daily hours when demand requires overtime.
