About the Role
The Dental Administration Officer is responsible for providing efficient, professional, and culturally safe administrative support to ensure the effective operation of Kambu Health’s dental services. The role supports patient access and continuity of care through appointment coordination, patient communication, records management, referrals, data entry, and general administrative duties.
The Dental Administration Officer plays an important role in creating a welcoming and inclusive experience for patients, families, and community members by providing respectful, confidential, and responsive service. The position works collaboratively with dental clinicians, administration teams, and broader healthcare services to support the delivery of accessible, coordinated, and high-quality oral health care aligned with Kambu Health’s values and commitment to improving community health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage dental appointments, bookings, recalls, cancellations, and follow-up communications
- Maintain accurate patient records, data entry, referrals, and documentation
- Provide welcoming, respectful, and culturally safe patient support
- Coordinate communication between patients, clinicians, internal teams, and external providers
- Support daily clinic operations, patient flow, and appointment schedules
- Prepare reports, statistics, and administrative information as required
- Maintain confidentiality, compliance, quality standards, and contribute to continuous improvement
What You'll Bring
- Current Blue Card or willingness to obtain (Mandatory)
- Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD) (Mandatory)
- Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain (Mandatory)
- Certificate III/IV in Business, Health, Medical Administration, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience in dental, medical, allied health, or community health administration
- Strong organisational, communication, computer, and data entry skills with excellent attention to detail
- Commitment to confidentiality, privacy, culturally safe and respectful patient-centred care
- Understanding of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services, teamwork, continuous improvement, and Kambu Health’s values
