About the role

I&D; Traffic is seeking experienced and Qualified Traffic Controllers to join our team. This is an essential role within the trades and services sector, where you will manage traffic flow and ensure the safety of both workers and the public at various work sites. Based in Mount Gambier, SA, you will play a crucial role in maintaining safe and efficient traffic management across our diverse range of projects. Your expertise will directly impact site safety, productivity and compliance with regulatory requirements.

What you'll be doing

- Directing and controlling traffic flow at work sites and temporary traffic management installations

- Implementing traffic management plans in accordance with Australian Standards and local regulations

- Positioning and maintaining traffic control devices including cones, signs, barriers and lighting

- Communicating effectively with site personnel, drivers and the public to ensure safety compliance

- Monitoring site conditions and adjusting traffic management measures as required

- Maintaining accurate records of daily activities and reporting any incidents or hazards

- Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to health and safety protocols

- Responding promptly to changing site conditions and traffic patterns

What we're looking for

- Current Traffic Control qualification or equivalent accreditation recognised in South Australia (TC1|TMI1 - TC2|TMI2)

- Qualified Traffic controllers based in the Limestone Coast, Riverland and Western VIC area

- Proven experience working as a traffic controller in the construction or civil works industry





- Strong understanding of traffic management principles and Australian Standards (AS 1742 series)

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- High level of fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

- Attention to detail and commitment to safety compliance

- Valid driver's licence

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- First aid certification is highly desirable
