About the role

Join Ignite Fitouts' Brisbane team as a Junior Estimator working across Design & Construct, office, industrial and commercial projects.

You will be involved in live tenders from early design and concept stages through to tender submission and project handover, gaining hands-on experience in estimating, subcontractor engagement, cost planning and Design & Construct delivery.

Working closely with the Estimating, Design and Project team, you will gain exposure to the full Commercial Fitout process rather than being limited to one part of estimating.

Key responsibilities

- Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation

- Complete quantity take-offs and prepare cost estimates

- Prepare and issue subcontractor and supplier RFQs

- Follow up and review subcontractor quotations

- Assist with tender comparisons and scope reviews

- Identify scope gaps, exclusions and project risks

- Assist with tender submissions and client proposals

- Maintain estimating records and subcontractor pricing

- Work with the Project Team during tender handover

- Build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers

About you

- A qualification or current studies in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying,



Building or a related field

- Previous construction or estimating experience is advantageous

- Experience working on Design & Construct projects, or a strong willingness to learn and work within a Design & Construct environment

- The ability to collaborate closely with the Design team from concept through to construction

- Strong attention to detail

- Good numerical skills

- Clear communication skills

- Solid time management

- A willingness to learn

- Confidence using Microsoft Office
