ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the TUMRA Coordinator, the TUMRA Administration Officer provides high-level administrative, operational and project support to the delivery of the Darumbal Traditional Use of Marine Resources Agreement (TUMRA). The position is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day administration of the TUMRA Program, ensuring accurate records management, stakeholder communications and reporting obligations are maintained to a high standard. The role supports the TUMRA Coordinator by providing productive administrative services that contribute to the successful delivery of Sea Country projects and contractual obligations. Working within a culturally safe environment, the TUMRA Administration Assistant will contribute to the effective management of Darumbal Sea Country by supporting program governance, funding compliance, procurement, meeting coordination and stakeholder engagement activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide administrative support to the TUMRA Coordinator.
- Coordinate daily administrative functions for the TUMRA Program.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, meeting agendas and minutes.
- Maintain confidential filing systems, databases and electronic records.
- Coordinate incoming correspondence and respond to enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate employee and volunteer records relating to TUMRA activities.
- Manage calendars, appointments and meeting schedules.
- Assist with purchase orders, invoices and procurement documentation.
- Maintain expenditure records and assist with budget tracking.
- Liaise with Finance regarding supplier payments and reconciliations.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrated experience in administration or business support.
- Certificate III or IV in Business Administration (or equivalent experience).
- High level organisational and time management skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word,
Excel, Outlook and Teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Current Queensland Driver Licence.
- Ability to work respectfully within an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation.
