Qualified Carpenter | 4-Day Week | Company Vehicle |
High-End Builds
$80,000–$92,000 + company vehicle | Full-time | 4-day working week
Various locations across Adelaide
Good carpenters have options.
So we’re not going to pretend this is just another carpentry job.
Wilks Building Group is a high-end architectural builder working on custom homes, renovations and extensions across Adelaide. We take on a limited number of projects, which means our team gets to focus on doing genuinely good work, not racing from one volume build to the next.
We’re looking for an experienced Qualified Carpenter who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a close-knit crew and wants somewhere they can keep progressing.
What you’ll get
- $80,000–$92,000 salary, depending on experience
- 4-day working week
- Company vehicle
- Tool allowance
- Full-time, stable employment
- High-end architectural residential projects across Adelaide
- A small, tight-knit team where good work gets noticed
- Genuine progression opportunities into Leading Hand and Site Supervisor roles
- Support to keep developing your skills and taking on more responsibility
- Variety across custom new builds, renovations and extensions
The role
You’ll work across our architectural residential projects alongside our carpentry team, supervisors and trusted trades.
This isn’t a role where you’ll be doing the same repetitive task every day.
You’ll be involved across different stages of construction, working on detailed homes where accuracy, problem-solving and finish quality actually matter.
Depending on your experience, you’ll also have the opportunity to take more ownership on site,
help guide apprentices and younger trades, and develop toward future leadership roles within the business.
We’re looking for someone who
- Is a qualified carpenter with relevant residential construction experience
- Takes genuine pride in the quality of their work
- Can work independently but enjoys being part of a team
- Is reliable, organised and communicates well
- Understands that the little details matter
- Is comfortable taking responsibility and solving problems on site
- Wants to continue improving rather than simply clocking in and out
- Holds a current driver’s license
Experience on architectural or high-end residential projects is highly regarded, but attitude, workmanship and the right fit for our team is more important to us.

Wilks Building Group is an Adelaide-based architectural builder specialising in high-end custom homes, major renovations and extensions.
We’re serious about quality, but we’re equally reliable about building a workplace where good people want to be.
There are opportunities here to hone your craft, lead a crew, step into bigger projects and work toward senior site roles. If you want to progress, we’ll back you to do it.
We recognise people who care about their work, take responsibility and contribute to the team.
Sound like your kind of job?
You don’t need to write us an essay.
Send through your resume and a short introduction telling us a little about your experience and what you’re looking for next.
If you’re not actively job hunting but this sounds better than what you’re doing now, we’d still like to hear from you.
All conversations will be treated confidentially.
