About the role

This is a diverse, hands-on Finance & Office Manager role within a small, cooperative team. Reporting to the CEO, you will play a key role in ensuring the organisation operates smoothly, with responsibility across finance, administration, and HR support. The role is part-time, 20-25 hours per week, based in Kew East, close to public transport, with flexible working arrangements including a preferred four-day-per-week schedule.

Financial reporting, cash flow forecasting and board reporting experience are desirable but not essential.

Key responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and payroll for the small team

- Monitor outstanding accounts and follow up overdue payments

- Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant legislative requirements

- Manage invoicing and respond to account-related enquiries

- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

- Assist with budgeting, cash flow monitoring and financial administration

- Prepare BAS and other statutory reporting requirements

- Support the annual audit process and liaise with external advisers

- Contribute to management reporting and financial analysis

- Maintain employee records and support HR compliance requirements

- Assist with leave management, employment documentation and policy administration

- Coordinate office suppliers, equipment and facilities requirements





- Liaise with external service providers, including IT support, insurers and auditors

- Maintain business records, procedures and administrative systems

About you

- Qualifications in bookkeeping, accounting, business administration, finance, or equivalent experience in accounts management

- Strong bookkeeping and financial administration experience

- Proficiency in Xero

- Excellent organisational and time management skills

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

- Professional discretion and integrity when handling confidential information

- Desirable: Experience preparing management reports, budgets or financial analysis

- Desirable: HR administration experience

- Desirable: Experience working in a not-for-profit, membership organisation, association or small business environment
