Job description:

The Policy Advisor will support the development of high quality and proactive policy advice to drive climate action, build Victoria's circular economy and support environment protection.

Working in a supportive friendly team, the role will involve creating policy advice about climate action for decision-makers, including the Minister, the Department's executive and other government departments. It would suit a candidate who is curious about different ways to approach difficult problems and enjoys collaboration with other areas within government to refine ideas and advice.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

- Experience in undertaking policy analysis and providing policy advice is desirable
- Experience undertaking engagement with stakeholders on policy issues is desirable
- An understanding of Victorian Government policy processes is desirable
- Tertiary qualification(s) in a relevant field are desirable

This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2027. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
