The Newsletter Editor is the person who prepares articles to be put into the quarterly newsletter of VOCAL.
Four Newsletter per year means that there is plenty of time to research and write articles which need to be relevant to current community interest for victims of crime.
This can be for victims all over Australia and overseas.
This can consist of updates on laws, and other legal issues for victims of crime as well as more relaxxed issues such as recipes, jokes and do's and don't on safety issues.
This sort of work provides excellent work experience for a student in journalism, or law.
Whilst it is preferable that the volunteer editor works from the office this is versatile.
Putting together an article can be achieved from home too.
There is a need however for the volunteer to come to the office to put together all articles created (perhaps by other volunteers too) for the newsletter into a set Newsletter pro forma which is held at VOCAL House.
