Job Title: Head of PMO (Project Management Office)

About the Role: We are looking for a strong and experienced Head of PMO to lead our Project Management department. You will be overseeing a team of 7 Project Managers who run * concurrent projects. Your primary goal is to bring order, build transparent business processes, and ensure both our team and our clients are aligned and satisfied. You will act as a leader, a process engineer, and an ultimate escalation point.

Key Responsibilities:

Team & Routine Management: Oversee the daily operations of the PM team. Monitor their routine work, track the status of their projects, and ensure they are meeting delivery standards.

High-Level Project & Client Oversight: Maintain a explicit understanding of the core goals, scope, and status of all active projects. Keep a close pulse on client mood and satisfaction levels across the board.

Crisis Management & Escalation (Firefighting): Step in personally to support PMs during critical client escalations or project roadblocks. (Note: Your ultimate success is defined by building a system so stable that firefighting becomes a rare exception, not the rule).

Process Engineering & Documentation: Build a transparent, structured system for the PM department. Continuously audit and improve internal business processes, creating and updating detailed guides, playbooks, and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).

Onboarding & Mentorship: Take full responsibility for onboarding new Project Managers, ensuring they quickly adapt to Appello's standards and workflows.

Requirements:
n
n
Proven experience as a Head of PMO, Delivery Manager, or Lead Project Manager in a software development agency or IT outsourcing company.
n
Deep understanding of managing multiple parallel projects and dealing with external clients.
n
Robust ability to build systems from the ground up and document processes clearly.
n
Exceptional conflict resolution and client-facing skills.
n
Ability to balance high-level strategic oversight with the willingness to dive into project details when a PM needs backup.
n
Fluent English and Russian language are required.
