Job Description
Emerald Hospital in Queensland is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Perioperative team on an 8-week contract from late August through mid-October . This is a Grade 5 RN position offering $ to $ per hour, working Monday to Friday day shifts plus on-call duties across 76 hours per fortnight. It's an ideal chance for a perioperative nurse looking for focused, short-term work in a busy surgical workplace.

Perioperative nursing in a high-volume surgical setting with exposure to theatre, recovery, and endoscopy

Preferred Requirements
n
n
Solid perioperative nursing experience, including scout and scrub roles
n




Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification and competence in resuscitation
n
Demonstrated skills in IV cannulation, triage, and anaesthetic support
n
Experience in endoscopy procedures and emergency response protocols
n
Ability to work flexibly on-call and adapt to a fast-paced theatre environment
n

Preferred Qualifications

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia
n
Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification current and valid
n
Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated competence in perioperative nursing practice
