Job Description
Pan Macmillan Australia is a leading general book publisher with a chart-topping list of authors and brands including Jane Harper, Hannah Kent, Matthew Reilly, Andy Griffiths, David Baldacci and Guinness World Records.
We are a global, family-owned company and have been publishing and selling great books in Australia for over 100 years.
You will be responsible for managing and developing sales in a defined territory of existing accounts.
The territory includes major chain stores and independent bookshops in Melbourne suburbs and some regional areas.
You will need to demonstrate a passion for books, strong communication and time management skills, an eye for valuable merchandising, and the ability to manage your territory with minimal supervision.




You will be motivated by making sales and finding readers for our books.
You will be required to call on major chain accounts as well as bookshops.
Managing and developing sales in a defined territory of existing accounts
Working with major chain stores and independent bookshops in Melbourne suburbs and regional areas
A background in retail or bookselling is required
Robust communication and time management skills
Eye for outstanding merchandising
Ability to work with minimal supervision
