My client is an industry leaders in resource recovery, recycling and sustainable waste solutions. They have experienced rapid growth, driven by fair pricing, a robust commitment to customer satisfaction, and our ability to deliver quality, timely service. Due to a recent promotion they are looking for a Transport Allocator to join the team.

Skills Required
n
n
Coordinate and allocate daily transport runs to maximise fleet utilisation and customer service outcomes.
n
Monitor fleet movements and respond quickly to operational changes, delays and service issues.
n
Support and communicate with drivers throughout the day, providing guidance and resolving operational challenges.
n
Manage driver rosters, leave planning and daily workforce coverage.
n
Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), HVNL, fatigue management and load restraint requirements.
n
Maintain accurate transport, compliance, training and fleet records.
n




Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders to coordinate service requirements and resolve enquiries.
n
Assist with fleet maintenance scheduling and asset management activities.
n
Investigate and report on service exceptions, missed collections and operational performance.
n
Champion a robust safety culture by promoting compliance, accountability and continuous improvement.
n

Experience and Qualifications
n
n
Experience in transport allocation, dispatch, scheduling, or fleet coordination.
n
Experience within waste, recycling, scrap metal or transport related industries.
n
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
n
Robust communication skills and confidence dealing with drivers, customers and stakeholders.
n
High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
n
Sound computer skills, including fleet management systems, GPS platforms and Microsoft Office.
