We are seeking an experienced and motivated accountant to join our growing team at Craig Baker & Associates. This role has become available due to growth of the firm's client base. Craig Baker & Associates is a long-established accounting practice located in Runaway Bay on the Gold Coast. This role is ideal for someone with approximately five years of public practice experience who is confident managing a portfolio of clients and delivering high-quality accounting and taxation services.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts and SMSFs
n
Preparation and lodgement of BAS and IAS
n
Client liaison and management of day-to-day queries
n
Assisting with tax planning and advisory work
n
Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and ATO requirements
n
Supporting team members and mentoring junior staff where required
n
n
Skills & Experience
n
n
Minimum 5 years' experience in public practice
n
Robust knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance requirements
n
Proficiency in Xero and other accounting software
n
Excellent communication and client relationship skills
n
High attention to detail and robust organisational skills
n
CA/CPA/IPA qualified or working towards completion (preferred)
n
