Job Description
We're looking for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join the Finance team of an ASX-listed resources business with an international presence on a 12+ month fixed term contract.

Reporting to an experienced Finance leader, you'll play a key role across the Group's financial accounting and reporting activities, with exposure to a broad range of stakeholders and international operations.

The Role
n
This is a broad financial accounting position with responsibility across:
n
n
Supporting monthly and periodic financial reporting activities.
n
Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
n
Preparing and reviewing key financial account reconciliations.
n
Supporting statutory reporting and external audit processes.
n
Providing technical accounting support across the Finance function.
n
Assisting with financial analysis and reporting for the wider business.
n
Contributing to finance projects and process improvement initiatives.

Identifying opportunities to improve systems, controls and ways of working.
n
n
What You Bring
n
You're a technically strong accountant who enjoys taking ownership, working collaboratively and operating in a fast-paced setting.
n
You'll ideally have:
n
n
Solid experience across financial accounting and reporting.
n
Solid understanding of IFRS/AASB and accounting principles.
n
Experience working through month-end and reporting cycles.
n
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
n
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
n
Strong Excel and financial systems capability.
n
CA, CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
n
Experience in a listed, resources or other complex corporate environment will be highly regarded.
