Role Purpose

The Systems Administrator role exists to manage, maintain, and support an organisation’s IT infrastructure, ensuring that servers, networks, and software systems operate securely and efficiently. The position is responsible for implementing updates, monitoring performance, troubleshooting technical issues, and safeguarding data through backup and recovery processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage, monitor, and maintain servers, networks, and IT infrastructure to ensure reliable performance.
- Install, configure, and update operating systems, applications, and security patches.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software,



and network issues in a timely manner.
- Implement and oversee backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery procedures.
- Ensure system security through access controls, firewalls, and compliance with IT policies.
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and support logs.
- Provide technical support and guidance to staff, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers for system upgrades and troubleshooting.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements)

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience).
- Minimum 1-2 years of proven experience in systems administration, network management, or IT support.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and server environments.
