IEPro are working with a leading civil infrastructure contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major renewable energy project in North Queensland.

Rather than being permanently site based, this position will provide a mix of Brisbane office-based work and regular travel to the project, allowing you to remain closely involved with delivery while maintaining oversight of planning, commercial performance, resourcing and client relationships.

This is a significant project leadership opportunity for an experienced civil construction professional who can operate strategically at senior level while still understanding what is happening on the ground.

The Opportunity

As Senior Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of major civil packages associated with a renewable energy project.

From Brisbane, you will lead project planning, commercial performance, reporting, procurement and stakeholder engagement, while regularly travelling to North Queensland to work directly with the project team and maintain visibility across construction.

You will provide leadership to Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors and site personnel, ensuring the project remains aligned across safety, quality, programme and commercial objectives.

The Role

In this role, you will:

- Lead the delivery of major civil works associated with renewable energy infrastructure
- Provide leadership across both office-based and site-based project functions
- Regularly travel to North Queensland to maintain close involvement with project delivery
- Lead Project Managers, Senior Project Engineers, Engineers and Supervisors
- Develop and monitor project programmes, delivery strategies and resource plans
- Oversee project budgets, forecasting and cost-to-complete reporting
- Manage procurement, subcontractor packages and commercial performance
- Oversee contractual obligations, variations, claims and project risk
- Drive safety, environmental and quality performance




- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders
- Identify delivery risks early and work with project teams to resolve issues
- Mentor and develop project personnel
- Provide accurate reporting and commercial visibility to senior leadership

About You

To succeed, you will bring:

- Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
- Significant experience delivering major civil infrastructure projects in Australia
- Proven experience operating at Senior Project Manager or senior project leadership level
- Renewable energy, energy infrastructure or major regional civil project experience highly regarded
- Strong experience across earthworks, roads, drainage, concrete or associated civil packages
- Demonstrated ability to lead large multidisciplinary project teams
- Solid commercial and contractual management capability
- Experience managing significant project budgets, forecasting and cost control
- Excellent client and stakeholder management skills
- Strong planning, leadership and decision-making capability
- Flexibility to regularly travel between Brisbane and North Queensland
