An exciting opportunity is available for an ICT Customer Support Officer to join a growing education provider based in Sydney. About the Role
We are seeking an ICT Customer Support Officer to support campus IT infrastructure, learning systems, and end-user devices. You will ensure all systems are maintained, issues are resolved
promptly, and preventative measures are in place to minimise disruption to academic delivery.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1. Responding to user inquiries regarding hardware, software and network-related issues
2. Diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving ICT system problems
3. Installing, configuring, maintaining and updating software applications and operating systems
4. Setting up, maintaining and supporting computer networks
5. Ensuring the efficient use of IT applications and equipment across the business
6. Adapting existing software and system settings to meet user and operational requirements
7. Assisting with website maintenance and basic updates
8. Repairing, replacing or coordinating the repair of peripheral equipment, including printers, terminals and networking devices
9. Providing technical guidance and basic training to staff on ICT systems and applications
10. Maintaining records of issues, solutions and system changes
What We’re Looking For
1. Bachelor's degree or Higher in Information Technology,
Computer Science, or a related field
2. Demonstrated experience in an ICT support, help desk, or technical services role
3. Solid understanding of computer hardware, software applications, and operating systems (Windows and/or macOS)
4. Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting software and peripheral equipment
5. Familiarity with networking fundamentals and basic network troubleshooting
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues methodically and efficiently
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
8. Customer-focused attitude with a professional, patient, and approachable manner
9. Familiarity with website content management systems (CMS) and basic web maintenance tasks
10. Be familiar with LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle) and Student Management System (aXcelerate)
About You
1. 1 to 2 Years experience in IT Support / Service Desk (Level 1/2)
2. Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 environment
3. Familiarity with LMS platforms (Moodle or similar)
4. Experience in user access management
5. Exposure to website/CMS platforms (WordPress or similar) is highly desirable
6. Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
7. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
