Bhaarat Groceries is seeking an experienced Human Resource Adviser to provide professional HR advice and support across recruitment, employee relations, workplace policies, staff development, and employment compliance.

About the Role
The Human Resource Adviser will work closely with management and employees to support effective workforce management and ensure HR practices are applied consistently across the business. The role will provide practical advice on recruitment, employee performance, workplace conditions, staff concerns, and relevant employment requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Coordinate recruitment activities, including preparing vacancy advertisements, reviewing applications, arranging interviews,



and assisting management with staff selection.
• Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records, employee files, and HR information systems.
• Provide advice to management on workplace policies, employee relations, performance concerns, disciplinary matters, and employment conditions.
• Coordinate employee onboarding and induction, ensuring new staff understand their duties, workplace policies, employment conditions, and organisational procedures.
• Assist employees and management with enquiries relating to salaries, leave, workplace conditions, career development, and other employment matters.
• Review and interpret relevant Australian employment legislation, modern awards, employment contracts, and workplace policies to support compliant employment practices.
• Assist with resolving workplace grievances, employee concerns, and disputes through appropriate consultation and communication.
• Support the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and workplace relations programs that reflect the operational needs of the business.
• Assist management with employee performance reviews, performance improvement processes, training requirements,



and staff development initiatives.
• Monitor staffing requirements and workforce information to assist management with recruitment planning and employee retention.
• Support effective communication and consultation between management and employees regarding workplace changes, policies, and employment matters.
• Maintain up-to-date HR documentation and assist with preparing reports and records relating to workforce and employment activities.

Qualifications
• Relevant qualification in Human Resources, Business, Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year experience in human resources, employee relations, recruitment, or a similar advisory role.

Skills and Experience
• Sound understanding of Australian employment legislation, modern awards, employment conditions, and workplace policies.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organisational and record-keeping abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion and professionalism.
• Ability to provide practical HR advice to management and employees in a busy retail environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple HR matters effectively.
