Sydney

What's in it for you?

This is more than a Supervisor role, it’s an opportunity to start building your management career with a hospitality group that’s growing.

You might already be leading shifts, training new starters or naturally becoming the person everyone turns to when service gets busy.

What you haven't necessarily had yet is the opportunity to develop the full management toolkit.

Join the group as a Restaurant Supervisor and you'll have the opportunity to:

- Take your first genuine step into restaurant management
- Learn directly from experienced hospitality leaders
- Develop your skills in leadership, rostering, recruitment and team development
- Gain exposure to labour management, costs, sales and venue performance
- Learn ordering, stock management and supplier relationships
- Build confidence running busy restaurant and bar services
- Develop your ability to handle guest feedback and challenging situations
- Learn the systems and processes behind a successful restaurant
- Take on increasing levels of responsibility as your confidence develops
- Join a growing restaurant group with new venues on the horizon
- Position yourself for future Assistant Manager and Venue Manager opportunities

You don't need to arrive knowing how to do all of this. The chance is to develop these skills. Bring the personality, hospitality experience and willingness to learn — and you'll be given the environment to start turning those qualities into genuine management capability.

The goal isn't to keep you as a Supervisor forever. It's to develop one of the group's future managers.

About the Venue

This is your opportunity to join an established and growing hospitality group at an exciting stage of its journey.

With new venues on the horizon, the group is looking for its next generation of hospitality leaders — people who can join the business now, develop their management skills and grow as new opportunities emerge.

The operation combines a bustling restaurant floors with a lively bar offerings, functions and group bookings, creating the perfect environment for an ambitious hospitality professional to learn what it takes to run a successful venue.

The Role – Learn It, Own It, Grow Into It

This is a hands-on Supervisor role where you'll be right in the middle of service, working alongside the management team and learning what it takes to run a busy Sydney restaurant.

You'll help drive the floor, support the bar, keep communication flowing between FOH and the kitchen, and make sure the team has what they need to deliver a great service.

On a busy night, you'll be one of the people keeping an eye on the bigger picture, where the pressure points are, what the team needs and, most importantly, what the guests are experiencing.

As you develop, you'll start taking greater ownership of the operation. That could mean running shifts, helping with rosters, responding to bookings and function enquiries, assisting with ordering, training new starters and getting involved in recruitment.

You'll also start getting exposure to the commercial side of hospitality. You'll learn how labour, sales, costs and staffing decisions come together and how good managers balance the numbers without losing sight of the guest or the team.

About You – Personality Is Key

We're not searching for a career manager with a decade of experience. We're looking for someone who's already built a solid foundation in hospitality and is ready to step up.

You might currently be a Supervisor, Senior Waiter, Bartender, Team Leader or an experienced FOH professional who's naturally started taking on more responsibility. You've worked enough busy services to know how quickly things can go sideways, and you're the kind of person who stays switched on, keeps communicating and gets stuck in rather than standing back.

Personality is a big part of this hire. You'll be confident with guests, easy to work with and comfortable being part of a close-knit team. You don't need to be the loudest person on the floor, but you should have presence, valuable energy and the ability to build rapport with both customers and the crew around you.

- Solid experience in restaurants, bars or busy hospitality venues
- Some experience leading shifts, sections or other team members
- Strong guest service and communication skills
- A genuine love of being on the floor during a busy service
- The ability to stay organised when the venue is pumping
- A hands-on attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed
- Confidence using basic computer and venue systems
- An interest in learning the numbers and commercial side of hospitality
- A willingness to take feedback, learn and keep developing
- The ambition to build a genuine career in restaurant management

Most importantly, you'll understand that being a good manager in hospitality isn't about standing around with a set of keys and telling everyone what to do. It's about leading from the front, backing your team and making sure the guests are having a great time.

The Opportunity – Grow With the Group

This is a particularly good time to join the business. The group is growing, new venues are on the horizon and that means opportunities for good operators who establish themselves early.
The aim is to bring someone into the business as a Supervisor and develop them properly. You'll learn the systems, understand the operation, build your leadership skills and gradually take on more responsibility as you prove yourself.

For someone who gets stuck in, takes ownership and wants to progress, there's genuine scope to move from Restaurant Supervisor into Assistant Manager and Venue Manager opportunities as the group continues to grow.

Why This Role?

There are plenty of Supervisor jobs across Sydney. What's harder to find is a role where the business genuinely wants the person coming in to outgrow the position.

This is for someone who's done the late finishes, handled the Saturday-night rush, trained the new starter, dealt with the difficult table and been the person everyone looks at when something needs sorting out. You've built the floor experience; now you want to understand the rest of the business.

Bring the personality, hospitality instincts, work ethic and willingness to learn, and you'll have the opportunity to develop the management skills around them.
