About the Position

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced hospitality leader to step into a key 2IC role within a new and growing operation. Offering $90-100K + super, you'll work closely with senior management to lead the team, maintain service standards, and ensure the venue operates smoothly across every shift. This role suits a confident, hands-on manager who enjoys being visible on the floor, developing people, and taking ownership when senior leadership is off-site.

Position Description

- Support senior management with the day-to-day operation of the venue
- Take responsibility for venue operations in the absence of senior management
- Lead, coach, and develop the front-of-house team
- Set clear expectations and maintain high service and operational standards
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and team development
- Support rostering, labour management,



and daily operational planning
- Monitor guest experience and resolve customer concerns professionally
- Maintain compliance across RSA, RCG, WHS, and licensing requirements
- Assist with stock control, cash handling, reporting, and administration
- Work closely with senior leadership to drive venue performance and team culture

Position Requirements

- Previous experience as a 2IC, Assistant Venue Manager, or similar hospitality leadership role
- Proven experience leading and developing teams within a busy hospitality environment
- Strong people management skills, including coaching, feedback, and performance conversations
- Ability to set clear expectations and hold team members accountable
- Strong understanding of food, beverage, gaming, and venue operations
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- Confident leadership style with a strong focus on customer experience
- Current RSA, RCG, ARCG & First Aid certificates (essential)
- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
