Role Description The Accessory Fitter is responsible for installing, assembling, and finishing canopies and service bodies, including modular and electrical accessories, to meet customer specifications and safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include fitting shelving, roof storage, lighting, inverters, and related components, using hand and power tools, following technical drawings, and ensuring high-quality workmanship. The role involves inspecting completed installations, troubleshooting fitment issues,



and collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Ingleburn, NSW, working in a workshop environment with a focus on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in mechanical or automotive fitting, assembly, or fabrication, ideally with canopies, service bodies, or similar vehicle accessories.
- Proficiency using hand and power tools, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and measurements accurately.
- Robust attention to detail, quality-focused mindset, and ability to inspect and verify completed work against safety and performance standards.
- Capability to work safely in a workshop environment, including manual handling, adherence to WHS procedures, and use of appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with production staff, supervisors, and other departments.
- Reliable work ethic, time management skills, and ability to meet deadlines and production schedules in a fast-paced setting.
- Relevant trade background (e.g., automotive accessory fitting, vehicle body building, mechanical, fabrication) or equivalent practical experience; formal qualifications or apprenticeships are an advantage.
- Current driver’s license and ability to work on-site in Ingleburn, NSW; experience in fleet or commercial vehicle environments is beneficial.
