Neuendorf Farming operates a 300 sow, farrow to finish, pig breeding and production business at Kalbar in South-east Queensland and invites suitable applicants to apply for the position of Pig Farmer in our farrowing/breeding and production sections.
This is a fulltime position and operates 7 days a week. Suitable applicants will need to be prepared to work weekends.
Annual total salary will be no less than $80,000/a. Applicants are required to have an AQF degree level qualification relevant to the position together with at least 2 years relevant work experience in pig breeding and production.
Our successful candidate must have:
1. a robust work ethic and a positive attitude to learning current skills
2. good attention to detail and record keeping
3. good communication skills to fit in with our team but also be able to work independently
4. have a reasonable level of fitness to cope with the physical demands of the role which include manual handling tasks including lifting and repetitive movements.
