As a Spare Parts Interpreter, you will play an important role in ensuring our workshop, retail customers and trade customers receive the right parts, at the right time and at the right price.
Key responsibilities
- Interpreting and supplying automotive spare parts for a range of vehicles
- Identifying parts using manufacturer catalogues and electronic parts systems
- Assisting workshop technicians and Service Advisors with parts requirements
- Providing qualified service to retail and trade customers
- Preparing quotes and processing parts sales
- Ordering, receiving and correctly identifying incoming parts
- Maintaining accurate parts inventory and stock records
- Following up outstanding orders and backorders
- Assisting with stock control, stocktakes and maintaining an organised Parts Department
- Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal departments
About you
- Experienced in an automotive parts or dealership environment
- Strong automotive enthusiast with genuine interest in vehicles
- Confident identifying automotive parts and components
- Customer-focused with excellent communication skills
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities
- Reliable, punctual and committed to being part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Computer literate and able to learn new systems quickly
- Commercially aware with an understanding of gross profit and parts sales
- Well presented and professional
