About LifeFlight
LifeFlight Australia is a leading aeromedical organisation dedicated to saving lives through rapid response medical services. Operating a fleet of helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft, LifeFlight delivers critical care and emergency retrievals across Queensland and beyond. In addition to its lifesaving missions, LifeFlight runs a world-class training academy, equipping aviation and medical professionals with the skills needed for high-pressure environments.
Our mission is to provide the highest standard of care and make a real difference in the communities we serve.
About The Role
LifeFlight is seeking an Aviation Publication Manager to join our Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) team, providing a dedicated and centralised approach to document governance across the organisation.
As LifeFlight’s operations, regulatory obligations, and commercial activities continue to grow, this role ensures that operational, clinical, and technical documentation is accurate, accessible, compliant, and consistently managed.
The Aviation Publication
Manager is the single point of accountability for document lifecycle management across LifeFlight’s Air Operator Certificates (AOCs), business units, and key stakeholder groups.
Reporting to the Head of HSSE, the role supports strong governance, audit readiness, and risk reduction by maintaining documentation in line with relevant regulatory, accreditation, and contractual frameworks, including CASA, Queensland Health, ISO, BARS, US Department of Defence, and EURAMI.
While content ownership remains with subject matter experts, the Aviation Publication Manager establishes and manages the systems, processes, and controls that support effective document management, traceability, and organisational alignment across the LifeFlight Group.
About You
You are a highly organised and detail-focused professional who understands the importance of accurate,
controlled documentation in a 24/7 aeromedical and aviation environment. You are comfortable working in safety critical operations where documentation directly supports compliance, operational continuity, and patient and crew safety.
You Must Have
- Experience in document control within aviation, aeromedical, healthcare, emergency services, or other highly regulated environments
- A strong understanding of document control practices that support CASA and aviation regulatory standards
- Proficiency in WebManuals, SharePoint, Microsoft Office, and other document management systems
- Experience managing controlled documents, including version control, publishing, distribution, and document lifecycle processes
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong editing and quality assurance skills
- Ability to manage multiple document streams in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational workplace
- Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across bases and departments
