Starlux Airlines Co., Ltd is a Taiwanese full-service carrier headquartered in Taipei established in 2018. Starlux Airlines Co., Ltd has established branch office in Australia (STARLUX) to support its planned passenger and cargo operations in the Australian market, including sales and marketing, customer service, cargo activities and airport-related operations.

STARLUX is looking for a Branch General Manager for the branch office. The position is full time and based in our Sydney CBD Office.

The tasks and responsibilities of this role include the following:

- Plan, direct and manage the STARLUX branch office, its day to day operations, and all personnel within;
- Devise and implement action plans to promote and sell STARLUX services and products to meet sales targets and increase market share;
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the branch office as a member of senior management;
- Execute and authorize business engagements, contracts, and declarations on behalf of the STARLUX branch office.
- Represent STARLUX and build external business networks; maintain positive relations with local authorities, governmental agencies, airport operators, and business clients;
- Serve as the liaison between the branch office and relevant departments in Taiwan Headquarters; work cross-functionally with regional and global colleagues;
- Plan, manage and execute annual budget planning and manpower estimation;
- Control and operate the branch office’s finances in a cost-efficient manner;
- Negotiate, initiate,



extend and/or terminate employment and commercial contracts with the branch office’s employees and external vendors;
- Direct and oversee the branch office’s passenger sales and marketing activities, including the planning and execution of sales strategies, promotional initiatives, and market development plans;
- Oversee the STARLUX branch office's airport operations to ensure alignment with operational objectives and STARLUX standards;
- Oversee the branch office's cargo business and related activities to support overall business performance; and
- Ensure compliance with applicable local laws, aviation regulations and STARLUX policies in all branch office operations.

Skills & Experience required for the position

- At least 5 years' experience in operational positions, preferably in the full-service airline carrier industry, including in senior roles;
- At least 5 years' further experience in relevant administrative or similar positions in the airline industry;
- Master's Degree preferred;
- Have excellent multitasking, communication, negotiation, proven leadership and people management skills in an international environment to foster a positive workplace.
- Be able to work under stress and keep calm when emergencies and unexpected situations occur.
- Can react quickly and solve difficult problems as well as be attentive to details.
- Be able to travel to other work locations or cities as necessary to support operations.
