Casual Bush Regenerators - Join our growing field crew
Ipswich or Lockyer Valley 3-5 shifts per week | 6.30am-2.30pm (summer) and 7am-3pm (winter) | ASAP start
We're a growing environmental services business delivering large-scale bush regeneration, revegetation and land management projects across South East Queensland. Our field crews are the backbone of what we do, and we're expanding to keep up with an increasing project pipeline.
We're currently hiring three casual Bush Regenerators to join our teams:
- 2 x roles based around Ipswich / Lockyer Valley
- 1 x role covering Scenic Rim / Logan
What the role looks like
You'll work in a small crew of two to four, reporting to a Leading Hand on-site each day. Typical days include a mix of:
- SEQ weed identification and control
- Large-scale planting and revegetation work
- Maintenance and follow-up site works
- Herbicide application (backpack / knapsack)
- Chainsaw and brushcutter operation (where ticketed)
- General site preparation, tools and equipment care
Crews meet on-site each morning. We aim to keep you working close to home where possible, but you should be comfortable with travel of up to an hour to a meet-point.
Hours & shifts
- Typically 3-5 shifts per week - more during planting seasons and busy contract periods, fewer during quieter stretches
- Summer hours generally 6.30am-2.30pm, winter hours 7am-3pm
- Generally no weekend work
- We work through light and intermittent rain when it's protected to do so
What we're looking for
- Minimum 6 months' in-field bush regen or land management experience, OR completion of Cert I-III in Conservation & Land Management (or equivalent)
- Solid SEQ weed identification
- Experience with large-scale planting, maintenance and herbicide application
- Chainsaw operation experience (with relevant tickets)
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transport (non-negotiable)
- Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive lifting, carrying a knapsack sprayer and brushcutter, and working on uneven terrain
- Reliable, punctual, and someone who takes pride in a job well done
Highly regarded (not essential)
- Cert III in Conservation & Land Management (or equivalent)
- ACDC (Chemical Distribution Licence)
- Chainsaw certification (AC / BC / TC)
- First Aid certificate
