A well-established opportunity for a VR GP in Southport, as two senior GPs progressively transition into retirement. This practice has built a loyal patient base over 20 years, with high-standing doctors, robust community ties, and 15-minute standard appointments. You'll play a key role in handing over long-term patients as the outgoing doctors reduce their hours.
Located in a busy Southport shopping precinct, the practice serves an older demographic with well-established, long-term patients. There's also the option to pick up sessional work at nearby nursing homes, taking over aged care patients currently managed by a retiring GP.

The Role
- Full-time preferred, part-time available
- Standard 15-minute appointments
- Special interest areas welcomed and actively supported: procedural skills, ADHD assessments, medicinal cannabis, women's health procedures, musculoskeletal injections, infusions
- Optional 1-2 aged care sessions per week at nearby nursing homes, taking over an existing patient panel
Remuneration
- 70/30 fee split on general practice billings
- 85/15 fee split on aged care/nursing home work
- $200/hr income guarantee for the first 6 months

Requirements
- Vocational Registration (FRACGP | FACRRM or equivalent)
- Ability to work 3 days per week (with a pathway to Full-Time)
- A strong passion for patient care and the delivery of high-quality medicine
