This nationally affiliated Chartered Accounting organisation is seeking a Heavy Intermediate or Senior Accountant to join its growing Accounting and Tax team. This role will provide the exposure expand your knowledge across various client industries and structures including SMEs, large private companies, international subsidiaries, family groups and HNWIs. Responsibilities of the role include:

- Preparation of income tax returns and financial statements all entities
- Preparation of BAS,



IAS and GST returns
- Preparation of other statutory returns including FBT, payroll tax and land tax
- Work on various accounting and tax issues inc. Div7a, CGT, payroll tax, trust distributions and more
- Liaise with Auditors to meet compliance requirements for SMSFs
- Liaise with regulatory bodies
- Research on tax matters arising from the compliance process or the development of client business strategies
- Provide assistance to Manager with client management

Ideal candidate:

- Approximately 3 years' (or more) experience in Australian accounting firm
- CA/CPA studying or qualified
- General understanding of accounting standards and tax legislation
- Ability to identify and resolve technical issues and independently research more complex matters
- Demonstrated high problem solving ability
- Excellent business acumen
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
