We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/all-round trade to join our growing team at Redrock maintenance located throughout the Kimberley region, Western Australia. This role would suit self-employed individual with own tools and be responsible for providing high-quality carpentry, property maintenance services to our residential and commercial clients in town and remote communities in East and West Kimberley. Would suit a FIFO carpenter.
Key responsibilities
- Undertaking a variety of carpentry tasks, including lock changes, hanging doors, finishing, patching and installing cabinets and other woodwork
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and technical specifications to ensure accurate project execution
- Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on existing structures and furniture
- Collaborating with clients, project managers, and other tradespeople to ensure successful project completion
- Maintaining a safe and tidy work workplace,
adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations
- Providing mentorship and on-the-job training to junior members of the team
About you
- Proven experience as a Carpenter, with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in the trades and services industry
- Driving licence
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot and find creative solutions
- Commitment to safety and a strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues
- Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification desirable but not needed for right candidate
