About PiXCo
PiXCo is an Australian consultancy that helps organisations get their product and master data right, so the people who depend on it can do their jobs properly.
Founded in 2020 and based in Sydney, we work with retailers, distributors and manufacturers on Product Information Management and Master Data Management programmes. We hold partner status with the leading platforms solutions, which means we advise on what genuinely fits a client rather than selling a licence. Our approach is one centred on solid change management principles, and provides more valued outcomes for both our clienets, and our partners.
We are still relatively small, senior and hands-on. We like it that way so we can be nimble for our clients. Our 4P Framework puts Purpose, People, Process and Platform in that order, because most struggling data programmes started at the platform and worked backwards.
The role
We are looking for someone to join live client programs and help ensure the people who have to use them, can and want to do so. This is not writing about change from a distance. You will be in the room while it is being shaped, working alongside our CEO, who leads facilitation of client relationships. You are never the only PiXCo person in the room, and you will not be handed something you have not been prepared for.
The practicals, so you can decide quickly
- Two days a week to start, with the days agreed in advance around your other commitments
- Six weeks initially, with the intention to extend if it works for both of us
- Sydney based and hybrid, with on-site days at our St Leonards office and at client premises for workshops
- Competitive day rate, discussed at first conversation.
- Contract, so you will need an ABN or be willing to set one up
- Starting as soon as possible
What you would actually be doing
- Helping prepare and co-facilitate workshops with everyone from an executive sponsor to a small supplier who has never used a portal
- Writing up what came out of those sessions, to a standard that goes into a client report
- Keeping the stakeholder engagement plan current, and tracking decisions, actions and open questions to closure
- Helping turn technical language into something a buyer or a store manager will actually act on
- Noticing where people are quietly unconvinced, and flagging it early
- Preparing session materials, agendas and pre-work so every session has a defined output
What we are looking for
- Two to five years in change, communications, business analysis, project support, service design or a similar role
- You have helped run workshops and you want to be co-facilitating them, not just taking the notes
- You write clearly and quickly, and you are comfortable having your writing read by a client
- You are organised enough that nothing quietly falls off the list
- You can talk to a senior executive and a frontline operator in the same morning and be useful to both
- You hold an ABN, or will set one up before you start
You do not need master data experience. You do not need to have worked in consulting before. You do need to have strong understanding of effective project change communications. What you get out of it
Direct access to senior practitioners, proper methodology, prominent brands on your CV, and versatile days that fit around other work or study and a culture that genuinely values the power of its team!
This is probably not for you if you want to work only to a plan someone else has written, or if two days a week does not suit your circumstances.
- To apply, send a short note about a session or project you helped run and what you would do differently next time. A CV is welcome but the note, genuinely written, matters more. :)
