As we continue to expand, we are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Officer to join our team in Heathwood.
About the Role
Medcan Australia is looking for a reliable and detail-focused Cleaning Officer to join our team in Heathwood.
You will be responsible for keeping our facility clean, hygienic and safe, including production areas, offices, bathrooms, break rooms and change rooms. You will follow strict GMP and GACP hygiene standards to help prevent contamination.
Key Duties
- Clean and sanitise production and facility areas.
- Clean staff areas, offices, bathrooms and common areas.
- Complete cleaning records and checklists.
- Safely use cleaning chemicals, PPE and equipment.
- Restock cleaning supplies when needed.
- Follow health, safety and hygiene procedures.
- Report hazards, problems or cleaning issues to management.
- Work professionally and contribute to a positive team environment.
What We’re Looking For
- 1+ years cleaning or janitorial experience preferred.
- Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical or other regulated environments is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and good time management.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
- Able to follow instructions and maintain high hygiene standards.
- High school diploma preferred.
- National Police Check required.
- Medical clearance required.
- Comfortable with physical work, including standing, bending, cleaning and lifting up to 15 kg
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail, dependable, professional, and valuable time management skills
- Punctual and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physically demanding tasks (e.g., standing for long periods, bending, manual cleaning, and lifting up to 15kgs).
