Role Description This part-time remote Cloud Engineer role at Fundación Con Vida focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure to support organizational applications and services.

The Cloud

Engineer will configure and manage cloud environments, monitor performance, optimize resource usage, and ensure security and reliability of deployed solutions. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with software development teams to support application deployment, automating infrastructure provisioning, managing backups and disaster recovery processes, and troubleshooting infrastructure and application issues. The role also involves documenting technical processes, contributing to continuous improvement of cloud architecture, and supporting stakeholders with technical guidance on cloud capabilities and best practices.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Cloud Computing and Infrastructure, with experience designing, deploying,



and managing cloud-based environments.
- Proficiency with Linux systems administration, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting in production environments.
- Experience working with Databases, including setup, performance tuning, backup, and data security best practices.
- Ability to support Software Development teams through familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, scripting, and automation tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- Knowledge of security, networking, and reliability principles in cloud-native architectures.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in a remote, cross-functional workplace.
- Experience with nonprofit or mission-driven organizations is a plus.
