The Role

We are seeking a motivated and creative Communications Intern to join our team in Macquarie Park for a three month internship, ideally 3 days p/week. This hands-on opportunity is ideal for a university student studying communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, media, or a related discipline who is looking to gain practical experience within a corporate environment.

Working closely with the Communications Officer, you will support a range of communication, digital media, and stakeholder engagement activities that help connect employees, customers, and external stakeholders with our business.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Communications

- Support drafting and publishing content for internal and external communications, including emails, newsletters, articles, and stakeholder updates.
- Assist with the execution of communication campaigns across print, digital, and email channels.
- Contribute to the development of communication plans to reach internal and external stakeholders across Australia.
- Assist with preparing presentations, reports, and communication materials.

Social Media, Design and Digital Channel Management

- Support the day-to-day administration and scheduling of social media platforms.
- Maintain and update content calendars across multiple communication channels.
- Assist with curating, scheduling, and publishing engaging content across social media platforms.




- Support the ongoing maintenance and updating of the company intranet and website.
- Assist in the development of communication materials, including graphics, videos, presentations, and branded content.

Events

- Support the development of event communications, including invitations, promotional materials, and key messaging.
- Assist with preparing presentations and supporting materials for events, conferences, and stakeholder engagements.
- Help coordinate and promote internal and external events.

Stakeholder Engagement

- Work closely with the Communications Officer to understand priorities, projects, and deadlines.
- Liaise professionally with internal stakeholders across multiple business units.
- Build positive working relationships and support effective communication across the organisation.

About You

- Currently studying Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Media, or a related discipline.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication channels.
- Basic design skills and experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools will be highly regarded.
- Confident using Microsoft Office applications.
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and eager to learn.
