Village Crown is looking for a Chef/Cook to join their team.

Located in the heart of Zetland, Village Crown is a Bar and Bistro that does weekly specials, Sunday roasts and an extensive full day menu.

As a Chef/Cook you will be instrumental in driving revenue through executing high volumes of meals and assisting Head Chef in creating unique menu offerings.

Main Responsibilities:

- Assisting the head chef to create menu items, recipes and develop dishes
- Assist with service preparation, ensuring all relevant food is prepared for service
- Producing high quality plates both taste and presentation wise
- Ensure meals are coming out in a timely manner
- Monitor and record inventory, if necessary order recent supplies




- Provide support to junior kitchen employees with various tasks including line cooking, food preparation and dish plating
- Supervising all kitchen staff
- Training of new kitchen employees to meet bistro standards
- Rostering of the chefs/ kitchen hands whilst factoring in wage budgets
- Delegation of staff and resources
- WHS: adhering to and implement sanitation and safety regulations
- Ordering: Assisting with determining food inventory needs, stocking and ordering
- Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment

Applicants must have 2 years' experience in a similar role. Experience in a pub/bistro is preferred.

A salary of $75,000 - $80,000 plus super will be offered to the successful candidate.
