Key Responsibilities of this Role -

- Support the delivery of the Community and Stakeholder Engagement Plan
- The Community Engagement Officer will support and deliver a broad range of external communication and community engagement activities including notifications for works, information provision to the community and responding to community and stakeholder enquiries via phone, email and in community meetings.

- The role participates in meetings and interfaces with various internal teams to provide a voice for the community in decisions that will impact the local area.

- Works collaboratively to ensure the engagement approach is consistent and the organisation is capitalising on opportunities and mitigating risks.

- Delivery of engagement strategies and campaigns within a complex stakeholder setting and within the context of the delivery of the project.





Qualifications and experience required -

- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent relevant experience in community engagement and communications, or other relevant discipline

- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver community engagement collateral

- Ability to keep tight deadlines and work under pressure

- Flexibility and ability to adapt to change

- Strong interpersonal skills

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- NSW Drivers Licence and willingness for required out-of-hours work, including some weekends.

- White card (or willingness to obtain)

- IAP2 accreditation is highly regarded
