Position Profile: Coordinates the provision of Patient Support Services at Kalgoorlie Health Campus. Line manages Patient Support Services staff as an integrated department within the hospital, including management of human and physical resources, budget and service performance.

This is a Permanent Full Time appointment.

Area Profile: The Goldfields region of the WA Country Health Service covers the Goldfields-Esperance Region of Western Australia. The region is located in the south eastern corner of Western Australia and covers 770,488 sq km (including offshore islands). The WA Country Health Service Goldfields consists of two main health campuses located in Kalgoorlie & Esperance, and three smaller hospitals located in Laverton, Leonora and Norseman.

Essential Suitability Criteria:

1. Demonstrated experience in a workplace leadership role and staff supervision.
2. Demonstrated ability to take responsibility and solve problems in an effective manner.
3.



Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage human resource issues including rostering, managing performance and understanding of public sector standards.
4. Demonstrated understanding of financial and budgetary management.
5. High level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including negotiation skills.
6. Demonstrated knowledge of patient support services or a related area.
7. Ability to work in a complex team workplace and receptive to change.
8. Current knowledge of legislative obligations for Equal Opportunity, Disability Access and Work Health and Safety, and how these impact on employment and service delivery.
9. Current WA C or C-A Class driver’s licence or equivalent.
