Most injectors spend their whole career working inside a clinic somebody else designed.

You inherit the treatment menu. You inherit the consult length. You inherit the protocols, the product, the room layout and the targets, and when your clinical judgement and the sales target disagree, you already know which one usually wins.

This is the other version of that.

A new two room skin and aesthetics clinic is opening in Dandenong and is looking for its first nurse. Not its fifth. Its first. The owner is not a clinician and is not pretending to be one. He is looking for an experienced injector to advise him properly on the clinical side, and then to deliver it to a high standard.

What Makes This Different

The person who takes this role helps set the clinical standard, because there is no standard yet.

You will have real influence over the treatment menu, consultation length, clinical workflow, room set up, product selection, protocols and the patient journey from the first enquiry through to the review appointment. Those decisions have not been made yet, and your experience will shape them. Final commercial decisions sit with the owner, as they should, but the clinical thinking will come from you.

That is rare, and it is the whole reason this role exists.

The Honest Part About Money

New clinic. No patient list yet. You have heard that pitch before and you know how it usually ends, so here is exactly how this one is structured.

You are paid an agreed hourly rate of up to $70 per hour depending on your experience, or commission, whichever figure is greater for you in the period.

Not commission only. Not hourly with a vague promise of commission later. Whichever number is bigger, that is the number you are paid.

A quiet week is still a paid week, and a strong week is yours. You carry the upside without carrying the downside, which is the part most start up injector roles get wrong.

We are not going to tell you the diary will be full in week one. It will not be. What we will tell you is that your income is not the thing being gambled on.

The Role

- Full consultations, suitability assessment and individual treatment planning




- Cosmetic injectable treatments to a high clinical standard, with proper review and follow up
- Clear patient education, informed consent, accurate clinical records and considered aftercare
- Selected skin treatments including microneedling and peels, where you are trained and competent
- Recognising, managing and escalating complications under agreed protocols
- Advising the owner on treatment mix, workflow, consumables, protocols and service standards
- Building a loyal patient base through trust, natural results, retention and referral
- Working within the clinic's prescribing, telehealth, scripting and Schedule 4 permit arrangements

The Schedule

Three to four days per week. Wednesday to Saturday suits the opening roster, but the days and the shift lengths are genuinely open to discussion.

If you currently split yourself across three clinics to make up a week, this is a chance to consolidate most of that into one place where you actually have a say.

What You Will Need

- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and Australian working rights
- At least two years of hands on cosmetic injecting experience
- Appropriate cosmetic injectables training, current professional indemnity insurance and evidence of ongoing competency
- Current inclusion on an appropriate Victorian Schedule 4 poisons permit, or eligibility and willingness to be nominated under the clinic's permit arrangements
- Strong consultation, facial assessment, treatment planning, consent, documentation, medication handling and complication escalation capability
- The clinical confidence to say no to a treatment when no is the right answer, and the communication skills to explain why
- Comfort working directly with a non clinical owner and turning clinical requirements into plain, practical advice

Desirable, though not essential:
- Current competence in microneedling and chemical peels
- Experience in a start up,



owner operated or small independent clinic
- An established local following, though we are more interested in whether you can build and keep one
- Commercial awareness across consultation conversion, rebooking and diary utilisation
- Local knowledge of Dandenong and Melbourne's south east

Support

You will not be doing this without a clinical structure behind you.

The clinic operates within an established telehealth prescribing, scripting, product ordering, training and compliance framework, with documented governance and escalation pathways. A dermal therapist is planned as a later hire as the skin side of the business develops. We will walk you through exactly what that support looks like in conversation.

Who This Suits

An experienced injector who is good at this, knows they are positive at this, and is tired of having their clinical voice come second to somebody else's revenue target.

You want influence over how a clinic operates. You want a flexible week. You want to be trusted. But you are not reckless, and you are not going to walk away from a steady income for a founder's promise and a handshake.

Who This Does Not Suit

Anyone who needs a full diary from day one, a management title on their first day, or a clinic that is already built.

To be straight with you, this is a founding clinical role, not a leadership appointment. There is no Head Nurse title attached and no promotion has been promised. What there is, is genuine influence from the very beginning, and for the right nurse that is worth considerably more.
