Suburban Connect is a consortium of global leaders in tunnelling including CPB Contractors, Ghella and Acciona Construction delivering the Tunnels South package on Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East, on behalf of Suburban Rail Loop Authority (SRLA).
We have a broad range of roles available to build our diverse and inclusive workforce, including construction and engineering, planning and environmental management, corporate support, administration, communications and many others.
SRL East from Cheltenham to Box Hill is now under construction, with tunnelling to start in 2026 and trains to be running by 2035.
Suburban Connect is constructing the 16kms of tunnels between Cheltenham and Glen Waverley using 4 tunnel boring machines and a range of excavation methods. The works also include 55 cross passages, 2 tunnel portal structures, 2 station box excavations and associated supports.
Position Overview
Provide administrative support to the project which typically includes tasks such as data entry, the processing & maintenance of financial approvals & records, compiling of reports and other administrative support as required from time to time.
Requirements Of The Role
- Obtain direction and advice concerning priorities.
- Provide support with administrative duties to ensure smooth operation of the commercial team.
- Co-ordinate site administration and other commercial matters within the zone.
- Engage with suppliers & subcontractors including maintaining good working relationships to ensure timely resolution of financial issues.
- Co-ordinate matters concerning project-wide, finance, accounts payable and procurement of goods and services.
What We're Looking For
- 2-8 years’ experience in an office administration workplace and accountancy & document management practices.
- Use of databases – JDE experience highly regarded.
- Good computer literacy skills, knowledge of accounting practices, ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and excellent attention to detail.
