Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements, functional designs, process flows, and acceptance criteria to define the test scope.
- Prepare test strategy, test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test data, traceability, and test completion reports.
- Execute functional, system integration, end-to-end, regression, and user acceptance testing for D365 F&O; Finance.
- Validate General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash and Bank Management, budgeting, tax, credit and collections, and expense-related processes.
- Validate core finance cycles including Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, bank reconciliation, period close, settlements, and financial postings.
- Log, prioritize, track, retest, and close defects; facilitate defect triage and provide clear evidence for issue resolution.
- Support business users during UAT, including test preparation, execution coordination, issue analysis, and sign-off tracking.
- Support release readiness, cutover validation, production verification, and post-go-live stabilization as required.
Required Experience and Skills
- 8+ years of overall experience in ERP functional testing, with strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or Dynamics AX.
- Strong functional understanding of finance and accounting processes, including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash and Bank Management, tax, and financial reporting.
- Experience testing end-to-end finance processes and cross-functional integrations with procurement, sales, inventory, projects, banking, and external systems.
- Hands-on experience in SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect management, test reporting, and release validation.
- Ability to validate accounting entries, sub-ledger to ledger postings, reconciliations, settlements, financial dimensions, posting profiles, and period-close outcomes.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or a similar test and defect management tool.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a customer-facing environment and collaborate across distributed teams.
