About the role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Day Program Coordinator to join our team in Tamworth, NSW. This is a full time position that plays a vital role in coordinating and delivering engaging day programs for participants in our aged and disability support services.

As Day Program

Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, organising and facilitating activities and programs that promote social engagement, skill development and improved quality of life for our participants. You will work closely with support workers, managers and participants' families to ensure our day programs are responsive, inclusive and deliver meaningful outcomes.

Key responsibilities

- Plan, develop and coordinate a diverse range of day activities and programs that cater to the interests and abilities of participants
- Ensure all activities are person-centred, engaging and aligned with individual goals and support plans
- Liaise with participants, families, carers and support workers to understand needs and preferences
- Manage program schedules, resources, equipment and materials to ensure activities run smoothly




- Facilitate group activities whilst maintaining a safe, supportive and inclusive environment
- Monitor and document participant engagement, progress and outcomes
- Collaborate with support staff to provide appropriate assistance and reasonable adjustments as needed
- Maintain accurate records and reports in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement of programs based on participant feedback and outcomes
- Support the induction and training of support workers involved in day programs
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and duty of care obligations

What we're looking for

- Certificate III or higher qualification in Community Services, Disability Support, Aged Care or a related field
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in community services, aged care or disability support with experience specifically in group settings
- Demonstrated experience in program coordination, activity facilitation or similar roles
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple activities and priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to engage diverse groups




- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop meaningful and varied programs
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and best practice in aged and disability services
- Current Working With Children Check, Police Check and NDIS Clearance
- Current First Aid and CPR
- A valid driver's licence and reliable access to transport
- Genuine passion for supporting vulnerable people and commitment to person-centred care
- Ability to work flexibly and maintain composure in dynamic environments
