ConsultANZ is seeking a proactive Environmental Advisor to manage environmental constraints on a major project. This role involves ensuring compliance with environmental policies, overseeing sustainability strategies, and supporting bidding activities for large-scale projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess surrounding environments and report findings.
- Manage noise, dust, and silt control measures on site.
- Implement and oversee risk management systems for environmental impact.
- Conduct environmental audits to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Develop and implement environmental sustainability strategies and action plans.
- Track progress towards environmental goals using data and reporting systems.
- Lead a team of Environmental Officers, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to address environmental concerns.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (Environmental Engineering or similar).
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in environmental management, preferably in power,
transmission, energy, or renewables projects.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Experience with environmental auditing, compliance assessments, and sustainability reporting.
- Proficient in environmental management software and data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex environmental data.
