Looking for a senior role where you're trusted to do your job without being micromanaged?
This is an opportunity for an experienced Rehabilitation Consultant to join a highly regarded Occupational Rehabilitation provider in Bunbury, with the autonomy, flexibility and earning potential that should come with being a senior clinician.
You’ll join a values-driven organisation with a strong regional footprint across Western Australia and a culture built around trust, flexibility and less hierarchy.
Rather than stepping into a heavily structured environment, you’ll be given ownership over your caseload, client relationships and working week, while still having access to a collaborative and experienced wider team when you need them.
The role would particularly suit someone who enjoys managing more complex rehabilitation cases, building strong relationships with employers and insurers, and using their experience to achieve sustainable return-to-work outcomes.
There is also the opportunity to mentor and support less experienced consultants without needing to move into a formal people-management position.
With a 9-day fortnight, company vehicle, bonuses, professional development allowance and genuine flexibility, this is an opportunity to progress your career while maintaining a lifestyle outside of work.
What You’ll Do
- Manage a wide-ranging Occupational Rehabilitation caseload across the Bunbury region
- Support injured workers through tailored recovery and return-to-work programs
- Manage complex cases requiring strong clinical reasoning and stakeholder engagement
- Conduct workplace assessments, vocational assessments and other relevant rehabilitation assessments
- Attend case conferences and coordinate sustainable rehabilitation strategies
- Provide specialist advice to employers, insurers, treating professionals and other key stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and referral partners
- Take ownership of your caseload and schedule with genuine flexibility
- Mentor and provide informal support to junior and developing Rehabilitation Consultants where appropriate
- Contribute to the continued growth and reputation of the Bunbury team
- Work across Workers Compensation, Comcare and non-compensation frameworks
- Work independently while remaining connected to a supportive wider regional team
Why You’ll Love It
- Up to $140,000 + super – plus bonuses and a professional development allowance
- 9-day fortnight – enjoy every second Friday off while maintaining full-time pay
- Company vehicle provided – plus smartphone, tablet and remote-access systems
- Senior-level autonomy – be trusted to manage your caseload and working week
- Less hierarchy – work within a down-to-earth environment without unnecessary layers of management
- Bunbury-based opportunity – develop your career within regional WA without needing to relocate to Perth
- Complex and varied work – utilise your experience rather than feeling like you're simply processing cases
- Mentoring opportunities – support developing consultants without taking on formal management responsibilities
- Strong regional presence – join one of the largest regionally based teams within the industry
- Career progression – opportunities to continue developing clinically or move towards leadership in the future
- Genuine work-life balance – excellent conditions, flexibility and a long weekend every second week
Key Requirements
- Allied health qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology
- Must hold registration with either AHPRA
- A current Australian Driver’s License and unrestricted working rights in Australia
