Position: Development Director

Location: Brisbane CBD

Salary: $280k - $350,000+ Super, depending on experience The Opportunity An exciting opportunity is available for an accomplished Development Director to join a highly regarded property development and advisory business based in Brisbane CBD.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a development skilled with a strong track record delivering complex and high-value property projects.

The business is open to candidates from retail, residential masterplanned communities and luxury apartment backgrounds. You don’t need experience across all three sectors — the role and portfolio will be shaped around your strengths and experience.

About the Role

Reporting to senior leadership, you’ll take responsibility for the strategic direction and delivery of major development projects from inception through to completion.

You’ll be involved across the full development lifecycle, including:

- Leading projects from acquisition and feasibility through planning, design, delivery and completion
- Establishing development strategy, project objectives and commercial outcomes
- Overseeing feasibility, budgets, cash flow and financial performance
- Leading planning, approvals and authority strategies
- Managing design and consultant teams
- Overseeing procurement and delivery strategies
- Managing project risks and commercial outcomes
- Building relationships with consultants, authorities, partners and stakeholders




- Leading negotiations and resolving complex project matters
- Providing strategic advice to senior leadership
- Mentoring and leading development teams
- Identifying opportunities to maximise project value

About You You’ll be an experienced development professional operating at Development Director level.

You’ll ideally have

- Extensive property development experience
- Experience across retail, masterplanned communities and/or luxury apartments
- Strong end-to-end development experience
- Excellent commercial and financial capability
- Experience delivering complex, high-value projects
- Strong stakeholder and consultant management skills
- Knowledge of planning, approvals, design and delivery
- Proven leadership capability
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to work autonomously

A relevant qualification in property, development, construction, planning, engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
