We are currently seeking Casual Support Workers to support adult NDIS participants in SILs, & respite services across Rockhampton and surrounding suburbs.

Overview of the role:

- We have opportunities to support people in SIL arrangements & respite services.
- 24-hour care model, meaning staff are required to work a combination of shifts – morning (from 6am), afternoon (from 2pm) and sleep over shifts.
- Candidates must be available for adaptable shift arrangements to accommodate varying roster requirements.
- Assist participants with the range of personal activities including hygiene support, medication assistance, manual handling, domestic assistance & meals.
- Applicants must hold both National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check clearances.
- Following specific positive behaviour support plans (PBSP) Assist participants with engaging in community, social and recreational activities.

- Support people within both group settings and 1-on-1 arrangements.
- Use a company vehicle and/or your own vehicle to transport participants to community-based outings.

What you need:

- Completed or currently studying a Certificate III in Individual Support (or relevant)




- 12 months paid experience supporting people in SILs with physical & intellectual disabilities.

- Australian Driver's License

- First Aid Certificate

- CPR

- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card) for paid employment

- National Police Check (obtained within the last 6 months or willing to apply)

- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Reliable smart phone with data
- Paid training before you start and ongoing training & development.

- Weekday, weekend shift loadings and overtime penalties per the industry award paid.
