What You Will Be Doing
The successful candidate will be responsible for welding, manufacturing and repairing piping systems used on submarines. They will perform welding, cutting and assembly of piping components using various welding techniques, including GTAW. The successful candidate will be confident reading and interpreting technical specifications and engineering drawings, ensuring all work is completed accurately and that welds meet the required quality, industry and safety standards.
What You Will Need
- Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/Welding)
- Australian Citizenship.
- Clean National Police Check
- Hep A & B Vaccinations & Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical
- Experience with different pipe materials such as Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel and Copper Nickel
- Experience working with welding procedures and inspections for welds
- General Construction Safety Card
- WA Drivers Licence
- Confined Spaces Ticket
