Hays Recruitment is a leading specialist agency within Australias Trades and Labour sector, partnering with a well-established organisation seeking a qualified tradesperson for ongoing work in the Gold Coast region.

Your new role
As a qualified electrician, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Carry out electrical installations across various sites
- Perform routine servicing and maintenance tasks
- Complete the electrical scope of minor works and project activities
- Undertake make-safe works and repairs on social housing and government-owned properties
- Execute electrical tasks using appropriate testing equipment and safety gear for construction and maintenance work
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
- Use computer systems and handheld devices to input data, and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Outlook)
- Apply safe work practices when dealing with asbestos, lead-based materials, and other high-risk construction environments.
- Adhere to WHS legislation and site requirements, including conducting daily risk assessments, identifying hazards, and following safety procedures
- Take accountability for personal health, safety,



and wellbeing, ensuring no harm to others or property.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and customer-focused work environment
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to apprentices at all stages of their development
