Prospero Teaching is working in partnership with a well-established independent Christian school in Melbourne to recruit a qualified and values-aligned Biology Teacher for a permanent position commencing Term 1, 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a faith-based school community that promotes academic excellence and spiritual growth. The successful applicant will be joining a solid teaching
department and will be able to grow within the school.

The college has recently celebrated outstanding 2023 NAPLAN results, with its Year 5 and Year 9 cohorts ranked in the top 4% of schools statewide, reflecting the school’s commitment to educational excellence across both primary and secondary levels.

This is a permanent position.

Biology teacher responsibilities:

- Teach Biology at the senior secondary level, including VCE Biology
- Contribute to lower secondary Science teaching as required
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum and the school’s Christian ethos
- Build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and families




- Actively participate in the life of the school, including events, professional development, and team collaboration

What do we require from a Biology teacher:

- Recognised teaching qualification with a specialisation in Biology or Science
- Current or pending registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
- A practising Christian with a genuine commitment to supporting the school’s Christian mission and values
- Prior experience teaching VCE Biology is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
