DUA Specialist

The opportunity We're looking for a DUA Governance Specialist to join our AUSPAC team and play a key role in supporting the governance, oversight and compliance of Delegated Underwriting Authorities (DUAs) across the business. Working closely with the DUA Governance Manager, you'll help deliver audit, governance and operational activities, ensuring alignment with Group Underwriting Standards while providing advice and support to stakeholders across the organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with insurance, underwriting, governance or risk experience who enjoys combining analytical thinking with stakeholder engagement to drive positive business outcomes.

Your new role Support the governance, audit and compliance of Delegated Underwriting Authorities (DUAs) across AUSPAC, working closely with the DUA Governance Manager to drive operational excellence and adherence to Group Underwriting Standards.
- Conduct DUA audits, post-audit activities and issue tracking.
- Maintain audit working papers and repository documentation in line with governance requirements.
- Provide advice,
guidance and training to stakeholders on DUA and Facilities governance.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of DUAGOS and Facilities@QBE standards.
- Develop audit reporting, dashboards, metrics and governance insights.
- Assist with governance projects, reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and contribute to positive business outcomes.
About You You'll bring insurance industry experience, solid analytical capability and a passion for governance, compliance and continuous improvement.
- Strong experience within the insurance industry.
- Strong understanding of underwriting processes and insurance terminology.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
- Highly organised with strong time management skills.
- Experience in underwriting, portfolio management, risk or governance is highly regarded.
