The Role

As a Dealer in our Commodities team, you will be focused on the Australian electricity derivatives market, cultivating and sustaining strong relationships with key participants across the National Electricity Market (NEM). You will develop a deep understanding of client requirements, market dynamics and trading opportunities, playing a pivotal role in growing the electricity derivatives franchise.

You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, generating brokerage revenue and delivering accurate and timely execution of client orders. The successful candidate will have an established network of relationships across the Australian electricity market and a strong understanding of wholesale electricity, derivatives and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Execute client market orders accurately and promptly across Australian electricity derivative markets, ensuring smooth order management around critical trading events.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the Australian electricity market, including NEM fundamentals, generation, demand, transmission,



hedging and derivative market dynamics.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with generators, retailers, large energy users, trading houses, financial institutions and other key electricity market participants.
- Provide clients and the team with market intelligence, analysis and trading insights, reinforcing Jarden’s position as a leading participant in Australian electricity markets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, growing brokerage income and expanding Jarden’s client network across the electricity derivatives market.
- Contribute to the development of new products, trading ideas and market opportunities within Jarden’s broader commodities business.

About You:

You are an experienced electricity markets skilled with a strong understanding of the Australian wholesale electricity market and an established network of industry relationships. You bring a commercial and creative mindset, impeccable attention to detail and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced trading environment.

Ideally, you will have:

- 5–10 years’ experience in Australian electricity markets,



with substantial experience in electricity derivatives, trading, broking, risk management or a related role.
- Strong and established client relationships across the Australian electricity market, particularly with generators, retailers, large energy users, trading houses and financial participants.
- In-depth knowledge of the Australian electricity market, including the NEM, wholesale pricing, generation and demand fundamentals, electricity hedging and derivative products.
- Demonstrated ability to develop new business, identify commercial opportunities and grow client relationships.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with sophisticated market participants.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with the capacity to interpret complex market information and translate it into actionable insights for clients.
- A genuine passion for Australian energy markets and delivering an outstanding client experience.
- Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when operating under time pressure around significant market events.
